On April 24, NCES released the results of the 2012 NAEP Economics Report Card. NAEP administered the Economics assessment to nearly 11,000 twelfth-graders across the nation. In addition, a majority of students reported that coursework helps them understand economics-related topics such as the U.S. economy or current events and public policy. The report also showed that the percentage of students who said they used the Internet to a large extent to learn about economic issues increased, while the percentage who said they used newspapers and magazines to a large extent decreased.
